Safe Kids Savannah is a local coalition of organizations and concerned individuals with the common goal of preventing accidental childhood injuries and deaths. Safe Kids Savannah is a member of Safe Kids Worldwide, a network of over 600 coalitions, including Safe Kids Georgia.
*Each Year, Children are Killed And Permanently Disabled by Injuries That Could Have Been Prevented.
The accidental injury-related death rate among children 14 and under in the U.S. declined more than 43 percent from 1987 to 2004, in part due to efforts of coalitions like Safe Kids Savannah all across the United States. However, accidental injury continues to be the leading cause of death for children under age 14. Our efforts work to prevent accidental injuries.
